I worked as the communications intern for NPB last year. It was a wonderful experience! They treat you like a regular employee, so you have a lot of responsibility. I moved from Oklahoma to Des Moines, Iowa. I wrote a lot of web features for the Web site, did podcasts, created a media kit, went on a video shoot, helped with World Pork Expo … and so much more! It’s great stuff to add to your portfolio, and you make excellent contacts who quickly become friends!
If you have any questions, I’d love to answer them! E-mail me at emily.kilian@okstate.edu.
