Student and Associate Membership

Annual dues are $25 per member (undergraduate and graduate students) or associate member (faculty members in agricultural communications or related programs, including chapter advisers). 

New and returning members can pay dues and be added to chapter rosters anytime throughout the academic year. However, each fall a chapter must have some members registered by Oct. 1 for the chapter to be considered “active” for the current academic year. 

To register chapter members, chapter advisers will receive a link through which students can add their contact information for National ACT membership. Students should only be given the link after they have paid dues at the chapter level. Need the link? Email Dr. Shelly Legg at nact.treasurer@gmail.com.

The first of each month, the executive treasurer will invoice the chapter for the dues of those members who registered during the previous month. Payment from those invoices must be received by the first of the following month. 

Only active chapters have voting privileges at official national business meetings. 

Individuals who want to join National ACT where no chapter is established should send a dues payment of $25 to the National ACT executive treasurer:

Creating a New Chapter

To establish a chapter, a letter requesting affiliation with the national organization and a copy of the proposed local constitution and any by-laws must be submitted to the executive adviser for review by the national executive committee.
