Ag Media Summit – August 4-7, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri
Join the National ACT at Ag Media Summit (AMS) 2024 held from August 4 to August 7 in Kansas City, Missouri. AMS is the largest gathering of the agricultural industry’s top writers, editors, photographers, publishers, and strategic communicators in the United States. AMS also provides opportunities for professional development and industry networking. AMS offers ACT members across the United States the chance to meet with other chapters and gain new ideas! National ACT Professional Development Conference
The 2024 Professional Development Conference (PDC) was hosted by the Missouri State University ACT chapter in Springfield, MO, February 23-25.
During this conference, we heard from guest speakers Anna Kobza, Janet Adkison, Rachael Davis, Alyssa Scholz, Lauren Quinlan, Jerri Lynn Kyle, Taylor Kennedy, Courtney Girgis on behalf of The Agricultural Communicators Network, and Erin Nash on behalf of The National Association of Farm Broadcasters. Students also had the opportunity to tour Convoy of Hope, Wonders of Wildlife, and Missouri State University’s Winery and Distillery.
Professional Development Conference 2025 host chapter will be determined at Ag Media Summit 2024 during the National ACT Business meeting. Chapters wanting to host PDC are not required but are encouraged to bring a tentative outline or schedule of events.
